No no, your eyes are not playing tricks on you.
.
That’s literally a Nike Air Jordan designed to resemble the Indonesia's instant noddle brand, Indomie, plastic packaging. Like Indomie’s wrapper, the sneakers comprise red, green, yellow and white patches. Indomie’s signature logo can also be seen at the rear heel counter of the sneaker.
.
The words “micin generation” which translates directly to monosodium glutamate (MSG) generation can also be found on the outsole, presumably referencing the large amount of MSG that Millenials are consuming through Indomie.
.
These Indomie Air Jordans are designed by an Indonesian artist named Jonathan “Jonas” Gustana, who’s just 23 years old. He recently graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Singapore. Indomie may be cheap, but these sneakers are anything but.
.
The Indomie Air Jordans are going for US$230 per pair, and only 20 are available.
